I don't think Canelo would beat Lara to be honest, but it's a good fight to make.

Aftrer some mean right hands during the combinations canelo will look for single shots and that is when the fight will be over.

Because of size youth etc , Canelo is in the fight that's all Im saying , I don't think it wise to sleep on him .
He is in the fight no doubt. Floyd is not quite a puncher in my book but he can definitely put hands on you. It's not impossible for Floyd to stop Canelo in the late gas out rounds. Canelo is going to fight his A game tonight though and will make this a great fight. He may suprise everyone and be strong down the stretch of the fight (though I still just can't see that happening). He already suprised many by making 152 so easily and atleast mentally taking away the percieved advantage.

I love how Trout became a bum over night as soon as Alvarez beat him. Trout is a far better win than any of Mayweather's recent opponents. Alvarez is 23 years old and has a very decent resume. He may not win tonight but to write off his skills and accomplishments is just silly. He's 23 and Mayweather's most dangerous opponent in years - respect that.

As I noted in the piece, for those who scoff at Chavez comparisons, it's at least worth noting he's faced FAR tougher comp at almost the exact same development stage. Difference in 44th fights is one fought the pretty good Mario Martinez.

                    The other gets Money.
