The contract was never made public but I think HBO reported than it was on a per fight basis. If its on a per fight basis than they can renegotiate it every time.

Maybe Showtime passed the rights and guarantees onto GBP and Showtime are happy with a small percentage of every PPV?

Everything that's been said by both sides was it was a 6 fight contract. Thus far, I have absolutely no reason to doubt or believe otherwise.

yeah the PPV Buys Money comes back slowly I am aware of that

I think Richard might be over exaggerating a bit, they have investors and sponsors that come together and front the money to get the event rolling

True, but u get my drift... This article makes it seem like he wasted $60 mil, when he invested $60 million for a fatter return... And, I know, like the Guerrero fight, investments don't always pan out the way u want them to, but Canelo vs Money seems like a good investment so far...

I dont know much about yahoo sports but if a lot of their general news articles are just terrible and inaccurate so it wouldnt surprise me if their boxing articles **** it all up either.

Gb makes very little from Floyd ppvs, Richard Said this yesterday, it's bad business by gb

He said the whole Floyd deal is so gb can get as many boxers as they can under their team

The closed circuits, sponsors and merchandise makes very little money, less than 10m in total, again confirmed Richard

It looks like gb is responsible with Showtime fir Floyd's guarantee, no matter how bad the ppv does, Floyd gets first pickings

The example Richard gave, if the total revenue is 180m, cable provider gets 90m

From the 90m, Showtime gets 5 percent profit after costs

Of the remaining money Floyd gets his guarantee and then canelo does, then if course both get ppv cuts

What do gb have left? Bad business, they make no money
