A contract is a contract, legally binding. They knew going into the contract that there would be potential losses with the guarantee, but also understand that fights like this one would more than make up those losses. They willingly assumed the risk, and are now on the hook, legally.

The contract was never made public but I think HBO reported than it was on a per fight basis. If its on a per fight basis than they can renegotiate it every time.

Everything that's been said by both sides was it was a 6 fight contract. Thus far, I have absolutely no reason to doubt or believe otherwise.

yeah the PPV Buys Money comes back slowly I am aware of that

I think Richard might be over exaggerating a bit, they have investors and sponsors that come together and front the money to get the event rolling

It will take a good amount of time for all the money to come in, it doesnt happen as automatically as sending $42 mil to floyds account before the fight starts. Yea they will be a very big profit but a lot of risk is taken when you work off projected income, just look at the Guerrero fight.

Didn't Floyd sign a contract with showtime in that they pay/guarantee 30 something million? That contract is with showtime, not gbp
