Comments Thread For: Weights From Las Vegas (Live Updates)

By Jake Donovan - A record-breaking crowd of more than 12,000 fans are on hand for 'The One' weigh-in at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. In an unprecedented move, the entire arena has been opened up to the public, yet thousands of fans still had to be turned away. Anxious patrons waited in line as early as overnight to ensure entry.

In the main event of what many are predicting to shatter all box office records, Floyd Mayweather (44-0, 26KO) and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KO) collide in a bout that will crown a lineal super welterweight king.

Their arrivals on the scale are expected shortly.

The opening bout of the telecast pits Ashley Theophane, the newest member of Mayweather Promotions, versus hard-luck welterweight contender Pablo Cano. Theophane came in at 142 lb, while Cano was slightly lighter at 141.5 lb. The bout is scheduled for 10 rounds. [Click Here To Read More]
