I was browsing reddit not too long ago and came across a thread that was titled "Is the boxing narrative of "a lucky punch" true in some cases or just a myth." The first response was great! He defines the term "luck", then gives a great example lol.
"From Wikipedia:
[Luck or chance is an event which occurs beyond one's control, without regard to one's will, intention, or desired result.]
A lucky punch would be a mugger sneaking up behind you about to stab you and **** your girlfriend, meanwhile you're telling her about a fish you caught one time and as you spread your arms you catch the would be mugger square on the jaw and lay him out.
In boxing, every punch is intended to hurt the other guy. I would never use the term "lucky" in boxing."
Thoughts?
