Danny beat Marcos Maidana left overs(Morales) and got lucky with a neck shot against Lamont Peterson's leftovers(Khan), who by the way was beating the crap out of him.
Hardly the kind of stuff people want to read about.
On the other hand Matthysse went against the IBF world Champion, who happens to be a better fighter than Garcia, and destroyed him in 3 rounds.
That gets people's attention, and I'm pretty sure it sells a ****load of magaiznes too.

EDIT: Looked it up. Didn't realize Morales had a fight after Maidana before Garcia. Morales had no business fighting for a belt at 140 anyway.

He didn't hit khan on the neck he landed the hook on the corner of his jaw you moron. If it was a lucky shot then how the hell did he KO Morales and several others in the same fashion? He times his opponents before they throw the right hand and lands the hook.

It doesn't matter if he came off that Peterson KO. Even pillow fisted Bradley almost sent Peterson to ***** Street. Danny Garcia is the champ. People fall in love with aggressive fighters so easily. Matthysse is a contender on paper, and it's not fair that the Ring Magazine is published in the U.S and they can't support an American Champ, but they give more publicity to his mandatory.

How are they gonna have his son as the Ring Magazine Champion and they have the mandatory contender on the cover instead of the champ? I can see how that can be disrespectful. I understand his resentment towards other countries. The media seems to have more respect towards foreign fighters than American fighters. The ring magazine cover for September is proof of that. Matthysse is world class but he's not the champ. On paper he's only beaten two world class fighters like Soto and Peterson, but Garcia is the Ring Magazine champ, he's undefeated, he's American, and he's beaten more world champs than Matthysse.

Because They know that Danny is basically fodder for Lucas. I mean he is the Ring champ but he hasn't faced the toughest opposition out there, he has been carefully guided to the point that he is at now. He was supposed to lose to Khan and he didn't so they decided to build him up so that when Lucas takes him out, they'll have a ready made threat for Floyd. Danny could win the fight as anything is possible but apparently the people at Ring Mag, don't think he's gonna pull it off.

angel kind of turns people off and that reflects negatively on his son. this hype job of Garcia ends tomorrow I don't consider lucas to be at an elite level but he's sure as hell better then garcia
