This isn't without risk for Floyd, but mostly because of Vegas and not Canelo. Floyd will be a huge favorite and if he loses, the Vegas bookies will clean up. That means, anything near a close fight, maybe not so close, and they might give it to Canelo, and keep the money.Comment

I can't agree more. I don't see how fighting the Alfonso Gomez's, Josesito Lopez's, Matthew Hatton's, Ryan Rhodes, Lovemore Ndou's, and 40 year old Shane Mosley who hadn't won a fight in three years when he faced Canelo will help prepare you for a fight against Floyd. It's hard not be accurate against that level of competition. It will show very quickly the difference in skill level.Comment

I need reassurance! I've had a bet (large for me) on a double of man utd to beat crystal palace in the premier league and floyd to win.both are odds on with the bookmakers,my feelings with floyd are that his 0 means everything to him,he's making Canelo drop down 2lbs lower than he normally boils down to,he's faster, better stamina, hardly ever gets hit-when he does I.e vs Mosley-he took 2 bombs without going down and come back to arguably win the rd and then every other rd afterwards.canelo only fights in spurts and surely draining his self won't help his stamina.talk of canelo s power doesn't worry me because Ryan Rhodes and Matthew hatton took him to the late rds while an old Mosley and trout took him to points, to me his stoppages seem to come thru an accumulation of punches rather than one punch power-floyd hardly ever gets hit clean, just looking for some reassurance that I haven't made a major **** up! Don't buy this talk of it being a torch passing fight,he's the biggest star in the sportComment

Floyd/Al Haymon clean up because Floyd will remain #1 in the sport with four more fights to go on his Showtime deal. The PPV fallout will be extraordinary
Oscar/Richard Schefer clean up because they get some of the action too and this is the best fight for both. Canelo won't be making 154 pretty soon, he's going to have to move up. Best make this fight now while his weight can go that low.
Canelo and his crew? They are being led to the guillotine and they don't even know it.Comment

can't see Canelo hurting MW enough early which is what he needs to do to have a realistic chance -- has to try to force MW to come out of his shell/ safety zone early -- he may have some success early on, may even be ahead after about 6 rounds but at some point MW will get serious with his offense and Canelo will start slowing down -- see MW scoring a 9th round stoppageComment
