So then how do they come up with a 19-20mil reported sales? Sounds more like a loss of revenue rather then gain, if what you're saying is actually true. Are they counting the cost of the tickets even though they aren't purchased but rather "given" to whomever? Sounds like a good ole promoter spin to me. This says to me "I'm gonna make it sound good, even though we really aren't making that much [reported amt.] in gate sales.... we could be if we actually SOLD them."

They're not "given". They're promised and sold to said people. They don't hand out free tickets. It's like iHeartRadio concert in vegas. It sold out in 1 minute, but in reality most people who are ordering from the general public don't get access to a lot of the tickets. Companies, Brokers, Casinos buy them up and use them as marketing tools to attract more customers to their business. Between July and September iHeartStations have a ton more listeners to their stations due to them awarding concert tickets as prizes, there for the cost of advertising on said stations goes up during that time. It's the same general concept.
