If Calzaghe beats Lacy and Jones Jr fights the winner..

    Jones Jr will beat Calzaghe!

Honestly, if he moved back down to 168.. thinking about it, I'd have to put my money on Jones Jr. I just think he's so sneaky, natural speed, gets out of the way.. Joe comes straight on - square-on, in terms of styles I just see Jones Jr counter-punch on the outside and get out of the way too much for Calzaghe and frustrate him. Remember that it's not just Jones Jr who is shot, Calzaghe is too.

If Jones Jr comes to Britain to fight (and beat) Calzaghe, that would be perfect. Because Eubank can come out of retirement then and fight Jones Jr in Britain on his ITV return in a big pay-day to sort out his money problems. That would be a fun fight to watch, Jones Jr-Eubank.

If Roy Jones can negotiate the fight to where Lacy walks out first and Jones comes out of 2001, then he's got a shot. Lacy KO, he hits harder than Tarver and Glencoffe and would put Roy Jones onto some of those lists that have Evander Holyfield on them

Calzaghe is finished too, Calzaghe looked worse against Salem than Jones Jr looked in the third Tarver fight.

But Lacy is so poor that Calzaghe, even though he's clearly not near what he once was, may be able to beat him.

I think it's more to do with Calzaghe going stale though, i think he's got a few fights left in him, where as Jones is totally finished.

No offense to the person who started this thread. But I am learning more and more, that its almost pointless to bring up the name Roy Jones on this message board now. All people are going to say is he is garbage now and thats it. Same with Judah and pretty much any fighter that loses. People only talk about the winners of the present.

With Joe, it's all to do with a combination of personal problems and weight problems. His wife cheated on him, his wife and kids left him. And he's a 200lb man these days still fighting at 168, these last few years he's really really struggled to make 168. He'd stand a much, much better chance against Lacy if the fight took place at 175.

I don't think Roy wasn't a great fighter, I'm just saying he ISN'T a great fighter. Be objective about it. He's dropped three straight and two of them by bad KO's

But Calzaghe has been a shadow of his former self in HIS last three fights, and at 168 Jones Jr will be quicker than he has been since pre-Ruiz whereas Calzaghe struggles to make weight (Jones Jr is a much naturally smaller man and would have no problem at all making 168).

I'm certain that Jones Jr beats Calzaghe, if they fight this year at 168 on Showtime.
