i felt kassim had an off night against karmazin.the ouma that beat mora beats karmazin next time.
an ouma/wright at 154 before a wright/tayor at 160 is what i want to see.

yeah he looked very sluggish and disinterested in the fight. he was caught in that "no mans land" that teddy was describing last night for most of the fight, where karmazin was effective.

karmazin fought a good fight though.

I thought he looked great too...but, he is still taking a few more shots than needed (IMO) I would like to see him back on HBO and back in the ring fighting the top dogs again. Just use a little more defense and I'm good Although, from the looks of the thread (after going back and reading it all) it seems I'm the only one that thinks so.

            What's happenin tracy?

I think you're right about the defense...there was actually a funny part of the fight where Ouma hurt Mora with a 3 punch combo and went in for the kill, but Mora sung wildly with a left hand (i think) and nailed Kassim pretty hard. I thought it may have shook him a little.

Anyway, I need to see him in against a big time fighter to be fulfilled, it looks like he's gonna have to go to 160 to do it though. I wonder if it'll be too much for him.

Uh Hu!!! I saw and remember that exact shot!! I said to myself (hey, I'm sitting there watching by myself, so whatever )
"uh oh uh oh, mora got one in and ouma FELT it"!! I was paying close attention to him to see how he'd deal with it too..he did alright. Otherwise, GREAT showing by ouma.

yeah it would have ****** to see Kassim suffer another setback...i was just hoping mora didn't land some miracle shot because kassim is my favorite at 154...along with quartey.

i dont see how anyone couldnt like him...just knowing the story of his childhood, how he persevered, and to watch him as the exciting fighter that he is today. he's definitely one of the better stories in boxing right now.

Oh man, another loss would have been horrible! He's my fav. too..the pure picture of CLASS. I understand being conceited and somewhat of a jerk is not only 'ok' in boxing, its expected. Guess thats why I just love one thats a great fighter and a great guy..so rare. To think of being forced into their 'army' at what, only 7 yr's old?? thats crazy..and then to get shot twice as an adult. Wow, he does have quite a story to tell.
He's definately got the goods, and I think (and hope) he's going to go a long, long way in the sport.

Ouma certainly look very impressive last night. He should maybe take on the winner of mosley/vargas next and if he wins then get a shot at karmazin.

All I can say is that, the guy has a very sound basic skills and has a bright future but he is still a "green horn". He still needs a lot of honing to be considered a real threat.
