I read about ESPN also, they are trying to get into world championship boxing and I read that Hatton is their best bet.

Well Freitas is slated to likely fight on Boxing After Dark on April 29th against Raheem. I guess Popo could turf that fight but I bet he doesn't go up to 140 just yet

freitas and hatton could turn into a war. freitas has power. could be a upset and maybe no hatton vs floyd? lets not forget freitas was undefeated until corrales caught him in the late rounds of their fight.

For sure, it wouldn't be wise for anyone to overlook Popo. I'd rather him stay at 135 and fight Raheem then move up to 140. Hatton can find a different opponent.

            British Buzz!
            By Craig Watt
It is rumoured that IBF and WBA 140 pound champion Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton will return to action in the US against IBF#1 Naoufel Ben Rabah (24-1) in May 2006. The unbeaten Hatton has been courted by a number of promoters and it is expected a three fight deal with UK promoter Dennis Hobson and Banner Promotions in the US will be announced soon. If Hatton is successful against the Tunisian Rabah who fights out of Australia then a possible matchup with Brasilian Lightweight Acelino Freitas is targeted for the summer of 2006

heres two reasons why i dont believe you.

              1. frietas is not a contender in hatton's division.
              2. there is no way in hell that hatton will be on espn, no ****ing way. a fighter as big as hatton (name-wise) is either gonna be on SHO or HBO, probly on PPV. there is no ****ing way that people will see hatton on a cable channel like espn.

              you not fooling anyone, juyjuy.
