I see some are slow at grasping the meaning of this. What this means is good fighters were hand picked to make that amount of money. People are misinterpreting "hand-picked" to mean bums were picked. But the truth is people won't pay that money to see a bum vs Mayweather.

Mayweather can't fight Josesito Lopez and expect to make 40 million dollars. Its not realistic.

A cook that hand picks his ingredients is someone that takes care in making the best dish possible, hence the careful effort to pick finest ingredients possible. This is what is being said. They were careful in who they picked in hopes to make a great fight.

Canelo was hand picked and the truth is Canelo poses a threat. This makes for a good scrap.

I just got a question if what Floyd does is called hand-picking then what do you call Canelo's fights with Lovemore Ndou (140), Josesito Lopez (140),Alfonso Gomez (140), Shane Mosley after Pac, Floyd, and everybody else beat him or Baldomir after everybody else whopped on him. Then when you name Ryan Rhodes and Matthew Hatton you mean to tell these guys had a chance and thats not hand picking.

Maybe I read that different then others but I don't see where he said he hand picks his opponents. He said "IF y'all think I hand pick my opponents and they are willing to pay 40, 50, 60 million to fight them, then keep doing it" It sounds like he's being sarcastic to me. The funny thing is everytime he fights one of these hand picked opponents this site is flooded with reasons why that guy will win or how he will test Floyd.

I really don't understand the hand picking issue. If he fought his mandatory and let the commisions pick his fight we would be watching him fight Devon Alexander on September 14th. At least he picked the best possible opponent.
