Mayweather Jr. Sued for $80,000 Worth of Unpaid NBA Tickets

Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather is one of the world's richest athletes, but "Money" now finds himself in a bit of a financial conundrum. He allegedly failed to pay for four front-row seats to Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs, according to TMZ.

According to the report, Mayweather hired White Glove International to purchase the seats for him, and he received three $25,000 tickets as well as a $5,000 ticket—a grand total of $80,000.

On its website, White Glove International claims to be the top VIP Concierge & Lifestyle Management firm in Miami. It promises VIP access to the world's most exclusive sporting events, concerts, night clubs & so much more.

Mayweather allegedly still hasn't squared up with the company, though, so White Glove has taken it upon itself to sue Mayweather for $80,000 plus interest.

Considering the fact that Mayweather has already made $34 million this year—thanks largely to his fight with Robert Guerrero, according to Forbes—$80,000 is merely a drop in the bucket. Forbes also reports that Mayweather is in the midst of a six-fight, $200 million deal with Showtime, so money simply isn't an issue for him.

In addition to the $34 million Mayweather has already made this year, he will also net a record $41.5 million guarantee for his fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on Saturday, according to Kurt Badenhausen of Forbes.

It's possible that White Glove International could be unfairly targeting Mayweather due to his immense wealth, but if Mayweather truly hasn't paid, there is no excuse. All Mayweather would have to do is cut one check, and he'd never even realize that the $80,000 is gone, especially once he gets paid for the Alvarez fight.

Mayweather has yet to comment on the allegations levied against him as he's busy preparing for one of the biggest fights of his career, but it doesn't appear as though White Glove International plans to drop this case until Mayweather pays up.

I don't know if this is true or not. But Floyd needs a good, professional money manager to handle his affairs.

He probably doesn't like anyone telling him what to do with his money though.

White Glove International what a bs company trying to get rich off Mayweathers name. What a lazy business scheme, buy tickets for liek $2,000 and try to sell to rich people for 10 x the price..wow. I hope they go out of business.
