It is nice to hear Ricky talk respectfully of Floyd after all these years. I wish others would do the same of there past opponents win or lose. Nonetheless I am still not convinced that Canelo can beat Floyd. I think he is good but the pre-fight hype is the same as the rest. He is so fast, he hits so hard, he is young, Floyd will get old, Oscar know's how to beat Floyd, etc... The more I hear this stuff the more I think it will be just another number on the list. Floyd has fought the best opposition available and he has made it look easy so far. Canelo looks good but so did Ricky, ghost, Mosely and the rest. If Canelo does not get a KO I can see Floyd just too quick for him as Ricky said and his defense will be too much. Either way I am just hoping for a good fight with no controversy.

You mean by selecting the opponents who were champions with title belts and coming off of wins at the time?

Yeah, he selected them and beat'em and got their title belts too.

      Any other questions?

Canelo was far more insulting in the build-up to their fight. Still, I think Matt is like most neutrals, they want Alvarez to win.

This HAS to be his most dangerous fight because its THE ONLY ONE that presents REAL DANGER

          because

This is JR's FIRST PRIME ELITE HE HAS FOUGHT in over ten years

Exactly. It's unusual to read non-biased opinions regarding Floyd by someone who's actually looked at his record. I don't know if Canelo will win but I wouldn't be surprised or think it's a big deal. :

We don't know if Canelo is in his prime, he's only 22. To be honest, we don't know if he is elite either, he has only really beaten Trout in a close one.

Still, he might be in his prime and elite, so Floyd has taken at least some risk.

Would you be happier if Floyd had selected Brandon Rios instead of Canelo?

The way I see it Alvarez is the toughest fight out there for Mayweather right now.

Ricky has always been respectful of Floyd , always said Floyd would beat Manny , Ive never seen Ricky say a bad word about Floyd after fighting him , and going by his wording in this article I think Ricky was totally amazed by Floyds skills .

                    3. RJJ said it first but it also applies to Floyd. It's not that he hasn't fought nobody...he just makes them look like nobody.

Thank you for that response. I think people give idiots like those who always look to twist history and someones faults too much attention. No need to prove anything because nothing you Floyd or anyone else can say or do will prove otherwise. let him soak in his hate. either way he will watch the fight he will spend hours discussing it and floyds life and career. if he hates dude so bad then that is a sad way to live.

he use to just call Floyd a prick on how he acted but who doesn't? ricky always respected Floyd skills and considered him the best and that's why he wanted to fight him. much respect to ricky himself.
