Even if Canelo beats Floyd.

You don't see it, because you don't want to see it. Oh yeah, Canelo's faced someone with as accurate and quick of a left hand as Lara, so Canelo can just nullify that left hand in your mind (sarcasm).Comment

No one cares about Lara, if Canelo wins he's fighting names that generate paper.

I think Floyd will stay at welterweight and never fight higher then 147 again. He could very well lose his next fight against a guy like Lara. Then what?
He'd eventually have to move up to MW, and guys like GGG and Quillen are waiting there.
I don't see how Canelo beating Floyd = next superstar, when the division he's fighting in has an arguably more skilled fighter than him, and the weight class above is a nightmare.
You can't tell me, that there are enough fighters at JMW to avoid Lara and justify it.Comment

I barely care about Lara. LMAO. I'm just saying that it's a very realistic possibility that Canelo loses to Lara, then all that momentum they have will drastically decrease. Imagine if he loses to Lara, twice.Comment

Lara is gonna have to bring more than that, and Canelo's defense is good enough to take Lara's straight left away. He doesn't have to be aggressive when he has good enough hand speed and timing to counter off of whatever Lara throws as well.Comment

If Canelo beats Floyd and Nelo loses to a guy like Lara who went life and death with slow ass Alfredo Angulo, that would hurt Floyds legacy big time. Only way a loss to Canelo won't hurt Floyds legacy is if Canelo goes on to become great.Comment

That's where your argument is completely nullified. You're giving Canelo attributes that Lara is better at. You can switch the names, and it would apply directly to Lara as well, except with more movement, and better boxing overall.
Not to mention, more pop, and no stamina issues.Comment

You guys really need to stop underrating the Angulo that fought Lara. That was some dude on PEDs that fought like a prime Lamotta.Comment
