The hard-hitting junior middleweight contender Jorge "Destroyer" Melendez (26-3-1, 25 KO's) will reappear on October 5 in Florida, as part of the undercard to the HBO televised return of former three-time world champion Miguel Cotto. Melendez will face Jamaal Davis (14-10-1 and 6 KO's), as announced by his manager Edwin Diaz. Melendez will now be trained by former triple world champion Wilfredo 'Wi' Vazquez.
