Dunno, all the articles regarding Warren seem to be bad news. It's like if your friend has never been signed and wants to make money, then sign up. Otherwise, it sounds like he is talented enough to get signed by someone with less of a murky history.....tell him to shop some fight vids around to other promoters just to test the waters. I don't know how all that works but if one promoter thinks he is the goods, then others may as well.

            Hi mate

Frank comes in for a lot of stick partly because he doesnt seem the most likeable of chaps and has a history of legal battles with his marquee fighters (Hatton, Calzaghe etc.). The treatment of Calzaghe was nothing short of disgusting and obviously that tarnishes the view of Mr W.

However, Boxnation against all odds actually looks like it will be a success now he has additional investment. So if your friend is at an early stage of his career it would be a good option to sign with him as he will get plenty of TV dates assuming Boxnation continues. And like it or not, Warren is the proven best in the UK at developing fighters through the pro ranks. I do like Eddie but I'm not sure he's the best for development of a young fighter, think his priorities may lie elsewhere. Also, not convinced about his longevity within the sport.

Let us know the outcome, be good to attend your mates first pro show! I'm in London so defo up for it! (If your mate can make good ticket sales, it will help out his career a lot! Sad but true).

            Best of luck

Well, commercially it could be a really good idea as Warren's now got a lot of backing!

Coldwell is good to go with if he has no success with Warren.

Why not? The most successful fighters in recent British history, bar a few, have been Frank Warren fighters.

                Go for it.

Why would you ask anyones advice on a subject not entirely related to you! and why make a thread on an international website asking such a question.I presume you nor your friend are from england otherwise you would know who frank warren is and what hes about. All i can say is if Frank warren thinks your mate is good enough then i guarentee you Match Room will too go with match room and eddie hearn thats if your based in the UK.The majority of UK fighters are with match room or should i say the best fighters are.Froch Brook Groves Burns Galahad Joshua Campbell and many others all work with Match Room.Excuse the start of my post i wasnt tryna be rude or disrespectfull i just think if your friends at the potential stage were a big name promoter wants him then i would presume your friend is aware of the promoters that matter in the sport hes dedicating himself to.If i was based in the UK give me Match Room over Warren if i was in America give me Goldenboy over Top Rank.Hope it works out i wish your friend goodluck.

                    Step 1 - Get a good lawyer.
Step 2 - Make sure the good lawyer reads that contract
