This is modern boxing. You don't have to earn anything anymore, to just have to sign with a good manager/promoter and they take care of everything for you.

Crawford is the perfect example of a hype job. Who the **** is he? He has beaten a shot to **** Prescott, and that's about it.

I think you need to relax and go back and watch Crawford's fights. He is clearly a young promising and talented fighter with a bright future so long as he is properly promoted.

A hype job is someone like Seth Mitchel, a guy who is one dimensional, no defense, flat footed and just no real skill overall. The same cannot be said about Terrance Crawford.

In regards to who he has fought, well he is a young fighter being brought up. You don't just throw these guys to the wolves. He is being developed the right way. His time will come, especially if he fights Ricky Burns, then he can say he has beat somebody.

You don't get it. Despite how the manager in the article worded it, they were not fighting for a shot at Crawford. As the mandatory, Crawford is in line for a shot at that title. It could have been anyone who happened to be the mandatory. Just happens to be Crawford at this time.
