Another UK WBO paper champ exposed

An asterisk should be placed next to every WBO titlist in the UK who had there belt literally handed to them without winning it in the ring.

    Enzo
    Cleverly
    Burns

I'm sure if I dig further there are more.

Yea Ricky was really handed the belt when he had to face undefeated Rocky Martinez smh... Ricky has faced a lot of tough opponents during his reign.

I don't think anybody is disagreeing there its just the fact he was beat and is somehow still champion... yes or no?

Burns beat Martinez who was considered the number 1 at SFW.

I believe Marquez was the WBO champion at lightweight so that fight was never going to happen.

Plenty of fighters fight for vacant titles. Polish boxers never usually reach that level so I guess that's why you're unfamiliar with the concept.

Carl Froch said it best (RE: Cleverly) - he's a WBO champion, not a World Champion.

The WBO shouldn't even be recognised. A lot of places don't recognise it. I still only recognise the big three, not that they are necessarily any better.

The WBO is more fixated on PR fighters, than UK fighters, trust me...

wbo has a long tradition of greatness.

                darius 23 title defenses
                joe calzaghe 21 title defenses
artur grigorian(everyone remembers him) 17 defenses
                omar narvaez 16 defenses

burns will be at 30 defenses by the time he can say broken jaw

You recognize the WBA? I'd say they are even worse than the WBO.
