    Simple Stuff

I dont know about you guys but sometimes you just can see the value of the fighter just by watching him sometimes you just not have to break it down you just perceive it. This takes years of watching boxing, and trying the sport out ( I have only sparred with almost Pros). There is something special in fighters that you just can se in the fluidability in fighters....

Do you guys agree with me?

In the back of my head I knew Seth Mitchell was going to get KOed I didnt doubt it.

I see Lucas over Garcia If I break it down i can even give it to Garcia but the X factor is for Matt, he just has the greater gift in fighting.

In my head Floyd is the greatest fighter I have ever seen in my lifetime and you just can see it. Canelo has an it factor but I dont think its enough... Although watching all Access I dont see the fighter in him to be honest...

    What you guys think?

I agree. I wish more people on this site approached it from that point of view. A lot of posts on here is more about personal feelings rather than good observations. Watching the Raphael Marquez fight last night around the 2nd round I knew he would go eventually. He just didn't look steady and was getting hurt alot. Even when he rallied in the 7th (I think), it wasn't enough to convince me he wasn't getting KO'd.

I disagree slightly about Garcia/Matthysse because I think Garcia has the intangibles, but Matthysse is a good boxer. That's 50/50 fight IMO and come the night of the fight I will be able to gauge the fight within a round or two (if it lasts that long).

It's hard to bet against Mayweather and I won't. Something is different this fight though. It won't be easy for him to break Canelo down like he has done against his other opponents. You also have to think he sees something about Canelo he knows he can exploit.

Well, it's a tricky one innit. Yes, sometimes you just see it or Know it. And for what it's worth, yeah, I agree with each of your judgements, but then I think you'd have a clear majority of posters agreeing on all 3 if polled.

Prejudice, whether personal (not liking a fighters personality or behaviour) nationalistic or racial accounts for the majority of differences in opinion in boxing discussion, but on top of that people just see things differently.

We might be looking for different skills or traits in a fighter, we might have different preferences for styles - as long as the discussion is kept reasonable and free of hatred and trolling it's all good.

For instance, whilst I have nothing but respect for Floyds ability and acknowledge him as perhaps the best boxer of the generation, I have a stylistic preference for the new crop of skilled heavy hitters (Matthysse, Kovalev and most especially Golovkin) for each of them 'specially Kovalev and Golovkin it can (and often is) argued that they are 'unproven' - which is fair enough, but for me, I'm happy just to 'know' how good they are.

I agreed with most of what you said except for Canelo having an "it" factor...solid fighter but he'd have to show me something on the 14th for me to think he could be something special in time...

I expect Lucas to win but I'm not counting Danny out either...

I don;t know how old you are or how many fights you've seen but there are a few observations I have made of my own that I'm pretty sure about after watching this sport for more than 35 years.
I think Sugar Ray Leonard would have beaten Floyd Mayweather. I also think Floyd would have more than a loss or two if he didn't avoid so many fighters when they were at the top of their game.
