I forgot that he fought Chico at 130, that's why I deleted that post. I think Floyd actually put on his best display at 130, but Chico was a come forward brawler. I can't really pin point his best weight because he hasn't really faced a guy without *****.

Its hard to say. He's never faced a guy where I was like, "wow! This is a great matchup!"

09' PAC. WW Punisher. WW Margarito. 147 Cotton would've been great matchups. His marquee fights are all guys with ***** on them. Nothing eye popping.

Marg is a f'n wart...there's nothing special about him whatsoever besides his chin. Each guy you mentioned had/has huge flaws.

Yeah, Margarito would have been a great opponent for Floyd but Mosley, who demolished Margarito, was a guy with "*****". SMH

Yeah, the list I mentioned vs Floyd's current resume. Gtfoh.

We're talking the peak versions of the fighters I mentioned. I'm sure a super blown up JMM
, and ****ty WW Hatton are comparable to 09' PAC, prime P-Will, prime Margs, prime Cotton.

            OK.

When they were supposed to fight, Margs still had the psychological edge over Floyd. Like how a big brother has over a little brother. It took a bomber with movement to TKO Margs.

Floyd ain'tsstaying in the kitchen with Margs to stop a prime Margarito. You also forget that Margarito took a beating in the same fight where he beat up Cotto.

I never said Floyd would have stopped Margarito, I'm just wondering why he was supposed to be a great opponent for Floyd but the guy who destroyed him wasn't anything special.

Earlier in his career he was much faster some would say, slicker;however, as he has aged he has gained more knowledge and experience. Maybe the reason for him looking slower now is because of his experience and that fact that he can now keep his calm much better than he could?

My question is do you think that his past style was stronger and more effective than what his style is now or do you believe that now the more experienced mayweather is a better fighter.

                      Thanks.
As far as Floyd being slower, I dont know how many people notice this, but he is always slow against Southpaws, and your basing this off his last fight. Against Ghost, Judah, and Ortiz, he's very slow. His right hand is almost like a cannon that he shoots out. All the fights against ortho fighters, he is exceptionally fast. Like even against Cotto, he was overtrained and sloppy, but he was still fasterhanded than he was against Ghost. As far as him getting better, Floyd is actually much more complete now than when he was younger. When he was younger he was a scrappy fighter with great defense. As he went to ww, he began to outbox and dominate guys the WHOLE fight, without getting grazed. I actually think his fight against JMM was the first time we seen the version of Floyd that calmly counterpunches, and goes the whole fight without getting hit. Also if you check his plus minus ratings, at ww he actually got more accurate, and more defensively sound. His plus minus rating slowly improved as he went up in weight. Check the numbers!
