NO. Its not going to happen. Being big and tough in football, doesn't translate to boxing. I know Seth didn't train since he was a kid, but you see what he lacks, a chin for one, and boxing toughness for another. Dude was visibly shaken when he stood across from Chris at the refs instructions. Football tough, is completely different than boxing and fighting tough. One guy here has the perfect avi. It shows other athletes in their sports pretending to be hurt, and the boxer, bloody and beat, pretending not to be hurt.

Bottom line, the great american heavyweight, is not in the NFL. Put that tired and lame argument to rest.
I agree with parts of your post but the great american heavyweight could be in the nfl...Sometimes toughness is just born inside of you. Not all Boxers are willing to take a beating or have the heart of a champion.

lastly, no need to ask if I'm ******ed. No need to be a **** to try and get your point across.
I have to be a *** to ****** comments. What part of a great athlete is a great athlete do you not understand?

It's not about them being American football players, that has nothing to do with it. A great athlete is a great athlete no matter the sport. The difference is, you have to dedicate yourself to boxing very early if you are to be great.

You are trying to suggest there are no good big athletes in America? HAHAHA I mean do you know how absurd that sounds? Do you know what the NFL, NBA are?

Boxing is not main stream anymore, that's the problem. Kids aren't dreaming of becoming the next Mike Tyson, they are dreaming of being the next Lebron James, and Adrian Peterson.

That fight wasn't about toughness, it was about skill. Arreola has been fighting since he was a kid. Mitchel can't just take this sport up and think he can compete at this level just being big and strong.

        It doesn't work that way.

that mitchell even got where he is today is argument for the phenomenon, not against it.

mitchell started boxing after a bombed collegiate football career because of injuries. he was a grown man. most guys who start that late in boxing never even turn pro.

nobody is saying that muhammad ali is in the NBA right now. the argument held by virtually every boxing expert in america is that the talented big men in america no longer box. they play football and basketball. they used to box. that cannot be disputed.

deontay wilder went to the f#cking olympics with 14 amateur fights. he has a ton of talent. deontay wilder is a dime a dozen in college basketball.

Boxing is not a sport you can pick up late and become elite. Obviously there are some exceptions but the general rule is that the younger you start the better. Many nfl players have the physical attributes to box but they don't have the skill. They may pack a punch. Some may be able to take a punch but they'll hardly ever beat elite guys. The same can be said for a boxer trying to play in the NFL. Wladimir looks like he would be a great defensive end but he would never be any good.

and who says mitchell isn't tough?

he was getting nailed by a huge puncher and he didn't know what to do. it's not like he quit. he failed. there's a difference.

No Mitchell losing to Arreola is a perfect example of a lifelong fighter vs a very late starter getting destroyed because you don't simply pick up this sport at 25 and expect to be world class or even close to it. It just doesn't happen typically in boxing##. There is more to this sport than being athletic or strong and looking the part.

I still can't phatham how Mitchell was WBC #2
