That's how I see it too and I kind feel bad for him because of that. I think behind closed doors he may be a good guy sans the DV incidents, I can tell he loves his children and is there for them and I commend him for that. I honestly believe though that he really covets what ODLH has, and as a result he acts out negatively. I think that more than being a "bad guy", he is an insecure guy.
Maywether Idolizes Oscar

As huge fan of both you can say both idolizes each other; Oscar wanted to acclaim Floyd has as a fighter; Floyd wanted the money and fame Oscar had. But reality is they can't stand each other but are smart enough to not let those feelings get in the way of business.Comment

Then you must really hate Eric Morales too huh?Comment

Just when you thought you heard it all before, this guy, comes along and says he doesn't believe Oscar De La ****ing Hoya, has more money than Floyd Mayweather Jr.If Floyd idolizes Oscar he is doing one hell of a job of covering that up. I get the impression he hates Oscar. He talk about Oscar in the worst possible way. I am not sure Oscar has more money than Mayweather. I heard Floyd has well over 100 million bucks just in his checking account and he has that 200million dollar deal with Showtime. I think Mayweather is proud and happy to be who he is and does not idolize or envy Oscar.Comment

Oscar was a good fighter, and a nice guy, but he ain't Floyd. Never has been, never will be.Mayweather idolizes ODLH and everything he has accomplished....he aspires to be like him. He envies Oscar; the looks, the gold medal, the fame, the beautiful females who followed him, the respect and adulation he receives from people, the successful and reputable company he owns, the fortune, the incredible career, the beautiful wife. He wants all those things. I can't help but feel bad for him in that regards.
Just thought people should know.

The only thing that Floyd ever envied about Dlh was his paydays, and that's because of Arum and how he was holding Floyd on the back burner. Every fighter wants to make the money a star peer is making or fight that peer. They don't envy the LIFE of another boxer. Only an armchair thinks that.Comment

Mayweather is likely looking at a guarantee of around $200 million for the six-fight deal. Pay-per-view revenues will push that total past $250 million then add that to his current net worth in 2014-15 he will be the "Half-a-Billionaire" Boxer.Comment

I wouldn't say idolise, but Floyd almost certainly envies Oscar's wealth and popularity.
He's richer than Floyd and much more well-liked person, and Floyd is all too aware of it.
It burns Oscar that Floyd beat him though, and he openly admits it.Comment
