All I want for christmas is...

for TR and GB to make up and kiss already. I'm sure Oscar wouldn't mind anyway so what's the hold up.

He fought 4 times this year, so I'm not really surprised he isn't getting a million dollar pay day.
He's averaging a decent amount though and getting a lot of coverage.
Just got to see how much he's making for Stevens now. If Stevens is getting 400k, Golovkin should be getting more.... surprised if he gets paid the same amount

Quillin is clearly a sucker of Golden Boy's teat.

This is not even worth time thinking about it... Quillin lost his sense of reality

            Aside from purses...

GBP should get Quillin a good opponent to counteract GGG's PR momentum and Quillin's lack thereof. Daniel Jacobs is a good fighter, but he's too underrated by the public because of the Pirog KO at this point (although I wouldn't have a problem betting on Jacobs to beat the Macklin's and Steven's of the world) and Mora is good also, but he's too underrated too despite being Proksa's pops. Those 2 options are the easiest to get made, but they would just continue berating Quillin and his opposition as if they're bums.

Quick riddle: How can F. Guerrero UD Rosado and Brinkley UD Stevens before PQ stopping them, but people still think that Golovkin's fighting better opposition than Quillin?

Anyway... Geale or Murray might be able to give Quillin some momentum if he were to perform well against them, but I can see people finding a way to discredit them (if Quillin fought them, if GGG fought them? Not even close). Lara might be an excellent option, but again, people would find a way.

GBPs in a tricky position with the higher weight fighters. At 160 and up their stable is pretty thin, and while some fights could be made with the none TR fighters it's become SOP to make multi-fight deals with the top guys which means all the action is pretty much locked in for HBO. If you get locked into a SHO deal then you're kinda out of the picture.

Geale or Murray could make a good fight for Quillin, but the reality is that all the attention (and therefore the money) is on the other side of the fence. The GGG payday (courtesy of HBO) is good, and losing 'gainst the 'annointed one' comes across as much a mark of honour as a badge of shame.

In a way, Quillin is what Gena was - high risk, low reward, 'cept losing to Kid Chocolate on a SHO undercard could be virtually a career death sentence, whereas putting in a good performance 'gainst GGG leaves you with a healthy bank balance and (hopefully) some credibility.

He probably assumed cause the opponents are getting paid so much more. Normally the A side champ gets way more, but not here, GGG comes cheap. Something like this for the challengers:

                Rosado 150k
                Macklin 300k
                Stevens 400k

                Quillin challenging N'Dam 150k
                Guerrero 100k
Offered Rosado 55k, upped to 80k

I actually like Quillin and think he is a very impressive fighter, considering his very limited amateur background. But regardless of all that, GGG will absolutely demolish him if they fight. No doubt in my mind.

Quillin is an average fighter. He's about as boring as a "power puncher" can be.
