Macklin caught Golovkin with a good shot in R.3 of their fight which stopped him in his tracks, if Stevens can land that same shot, the outcome might be different.

that's as far as I'll go on Stevens chances.

Stevens probably has the best shot of stopping him out of Rosado, Macklin, Proksa, ishida. GG gets hit a bit early too. Its not a bad fight to call an upset on.

Stevens has one chance, to rush GGG and catch him early. He does have power and it can happen. Will it happen? doubtful, but it can happen.

i think even if stevens somehow pulls off the upset there would be an immediate rematch and stevens would get slaughter then.

I don't think many people are backing Stevens but some people think he can land something early that will KO GGG. I know it's a baseless assumption but that's the only chance Stevens has.

Stevens got a punchers chance, he has power. Mares vs Gonzalez reminds us anytime you're in with a big puncher anything can happen.

Was gonna be my question too. I know the commentators made something of a coupla of Macks attempts but actually watching the fight back, there was nothing, literally nothing, that Mack did that made GGG do anything other than ease up for about half a second in the entire fight.

For some reason GGGs defense has received some stick, but Mack made a point of saying how hard he is to hit. Generally he blocks, ducks or slips in or out just enough to ensure he doesn't get hit clean without losing his own momentum.

I am. Stevens is not Cleverly. I'm picking Stevens to knock GG out. And if Stevens doesn't do it, I'm picking the next guy, and the next guy, AND the next guy.

Same with Matthysse.
