English boxers will be able to compete under their own flag at this year's World Championships after world governing body AIBA lifted its provisional suspension on the Amateur Boxing Association of England.
An AIBA disciplinary commission found that the ABAE "committed and continues to commit significant violations of AIBA statutes" - but elected instead to impose a fine of 5,000 Swiss francs (£3,400) on the national governing body.
The disciplinary commission added that the fine would be waived if the ABAE issues a public statement confirming it had failed to comply with AIBA's statutes and rules, and would adopt the required *********s to its constitution.
