  • Comments Thread For: Daniel Geale Back in Camp, Wants December Return

Daniel Geale wants to fight again in December, irrespective of whether he wins his appeal against his recent IBF boxing middleweight world title loss.

Geale resumed training on Thursday, less than three weeks after the bout - which he watched on Wednesday for the first time since his split decision points loss to Englishman Darren Barker in Atlantic City.

His management have lodged an appeal to the IBF, citing a number of grounds, including the scoring of the bout.

Geale's a good guy. Hope he bounces back quick. Think he still beats a lotta middleweights out there

If Geale is that hungry he should take a GGG fight... GGG would fight even this December...

        This^ I know you're joking but..

Although it is a short turn around, it is likely to be a short night on Nov. 2 and it would make sense for GGG if he wants to get in those 5 fights.

Thing is, it doesn't make sense for Geale - I'm not really sure he wants to be handed another loss right now.

Intrestingly Murray - GGG looks possible for early 2014, and Murray certainly needs a tune-up, but Geale might be too big a fish for that purpose. Murray - Geale for the mando would be a nice fight, but I don't see that it makes much sense financially for Murray.

          I'm always half-joking though...
But the fact is that GGG would fight the top ten of the 160 division in one year span... and allover again...

To be more specific: in case Martinez doesn't somehow fully recover, I don't see anyone able co cope with Golovkin at 160.

As about the 168 division, I have serous doubts that GGG has the size, the power, and the skills to deal with certain big guys there...

Best of luck to him. He lost his title in a very close bout and is a classy operator.

A bout between him & one of the British Middleweights would do great business in London.
