Gatti was at the end of his tether and not fighting at his best weight. Alvarez is in his early 20s and fighting at his 'own' weight class (well, kind of). Mayweather couldn't even 'Gatti' Guerrero at 147, nevermind the #1 154lber in the world when he (Floyd) has never looked particularly good at the weight.

Gatti was slow and severely over matched. Mayweather seemed pissed off that night for some reason. I don't think he has the same disdain for Canelo as he did for Gatti. Not to mention he was younger and in his true prime. No "Gatti" for Canelo but he could get "Ortiz'd"

Money didn't want to hurt,KO,humiliate and prove a point against Baldomir. He wants this kids blood. Everyone is obssesed with KO's right? people better not get upset at the monster they're unleashing when Money gets in the ring that night. He's going to fight like a murderer in there.

He would have never did that to a prime Gatti.

He will never do that to prime Canelo.

              Canelo > washed up, Gatti

No because there's levels to this and while we all admire Gatti's heart, you won't find him on any all-time most "skilled" fighters list.

I'm thinking Floyd "ghosts" Canelo. A clinical 12 round 119-109 deal.

I see the fight going like this,Floyd will apply a lot of movement early potshoting Canelo and turning him so Canelo is not allowed to set his feet. Then when Canelo shows signs of fatigue Floyd will set his feet more and start sitting down on his punches to see if he can hurt Canelo and get him out of there

It's possible Floyd would be going to be Berto'ed in this fight, Guerrero style. It's going to be brutal. Floyd will end up running like a chicken.

There's a reason why Floyd tried to duck this fight. Showtime finally said, "Hell NO!"
