Bill Emes was on the scene as IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24 KO's) and hard-puncher Curtis Stevens (25-3, 18 KO's) met face to face at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The fight is going to take place on November 2nd as the headline bout at MSG's Theater. and televised live as the main event on HBO. Golovkin has been knocking out opponents left and right, and Stevens has been a destructive force since dropping down from super middleweight to middleweight.

Stevens has to be second guessing himself after sizing up Golovkin. He's even shorter than Macklin, I see him getting KTFO inside 2 or 3 rounds...

I am ready to see Golovkin in with the big dawgs after this fight. He's proven himself already as far as I'm concerned these past few fights have been far too easy for him to keep going on like this...

I've been seeing all these twitter pictures with the fake coffin, but during the presser and all the photos today, Steven's seemed very quiet when next to Gennady. Lol Can't wait for this

The jury is still out if GGG can take a shot flush from Martinez.
We know Martinez can take a shot from bigger middleweights.

Thanks for the warm welcome brothers of boxing!

Again don't sleep on Martinez. Yes he looked shop worned in his last outing, but he was totally disrespected by the press, & HBO, and by readers on this site.

When his stops GGG, he will be avoided once again!

This dude lost to Jesse Brinkley.. He has no chance of taking out Golovkin. I see KO within 5 rounds.

I hear where you guys are coming from but when he lost his last fight against Paul Williams, both guys were coming up from 147 because the kingpins at 147, FMM, & Coto were looking for layups, and HBO was willing to supply them with one.

Martinez, got robbed against Cintron, and I believe Williams vacated the Welter title.

Well, we will see, Martinez said he's willing to fight GGG, who again to me has yet to get nailed, and he seems easy to hit, and he's not a big middleweight( like Chavez, Murray, or Pavlic). So I really like my guy's chance against him.

Yup and he gets hurt by them.
