Guys, I know I'm a newbie to this site, but I know the game better than alot of other people.
So with that being said; I still think Sergio is still the king of the middleweights.
Yes GGG has been smoking alot of fighters, as well as Stevens, but Martinez not only fights bigger middleweights, he leaves them frustrated with speed, footwork, & power, for a guy who truly weighs only 154.
Yes he's on the decline(38) as of late with the Murray fight, but how many p4p fighters has struggles with tough defensive minded fighters?
Cotto vs Clotty, Mayweather struggled against Castillo, Manny vs Bradley, ect.
But yet everyone has claimed that Martinez is finished.
Tell you what, a healthy Martinez can beat not only GGG, & Stevens, I believe he can go down to his natural weight of 154, lay out that whole division.
Why you think he moved up to MW, the Jr.'s wanted no part of him. Ask Cotto, & Mayweather, they avoided Martinez throughout their whole career.

Murray is not a defensive minded fighter, he came forward with pressure the whole fight, he just kept his guard up.

I don't know how Stevens ever competed at 168lb. He's a midget compared to GGG. I like Stevens as a fighter but he bit off more than he can chew in this one.
That was my thought too, he is a certified manlet.

Why is everyone acting like this is even a test?
With a fighter like Stevens it only takes one punch.

yeah I tend to agree with this. He's got a chance but GGG can always switch to boxing and moving and wipe the floor with him.

To be fair, by the time Martinez was relevant, he was moving up in weight and would not have been able to face Mayweather and/or Cotto who were at 147/154. Just saying.
Also, it's obvious that Martinez is a little old to go 12 rounds with GGG when he barely survived the 12th rd. against primitive junior silver spooner.
Golovkin's posture looks pretty bad, almost as if he's trying to bring his height down. Maybe an intimidation tactic, so it looks like he's 4inches bigger on fight night
That being said, I'm very interested in GGG's development. We'll see what he brings to the table the night of Nov. 2nd

I feel bad for Martinez the Great due to his decline in his Prime
but
either he hands over the title to GGG or he retires, or GETS KO'd by GGG
this
Unfortunately his athletic, fast feet, style has caught up with him.
Gennady's pressure will crush him.
I love Martinez and hope he can prove us wrong if he decides on staying in this sport.
