Comments Thread For: Marquez: Being The Favorite Makes No Difference To Me

Four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) is used to being the underdog in most of his major fights. On October 12th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Marquez will enter the ring as the favorite when he faces undefeated WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (30-0, 12KOs). Both fighters hold 2012 victories over Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao. Marquez continues to work on his speed and throwing rapid punches in bunches to combat Bradley.

Correction...One has a gift win and the other has a KO win.

Cant wait for t his fight. Bradley is gonna win it though. JMM loses its a game changer for a 5th fight with Manny.

If Bradley boxes and uses angles, like he did in the Peterson fight, he wins this one with ease. But if he fights with his heart, like he did with Ruslan, then Marquez puts him to sleep. Its just that simple. In and out, side to side, use his jab and throw fast combos then tie him up. That is the only fight plan that will work on Marquez. Juan is too skilled to stand in front of him and trade.

This is A 50/50 fight too me! I don't see everyone picking Marquez like how everyone is picking Matthysse vs. Danny

He's the favorite because he knocked out one of this era's best boxer in Manny 'the Pacman' Pacquiao.

I pick JMM to beat Bradley easily. This the kind of fighter I've seen Marquez dominate over his career. Bradley is no match against JMM technically. JMM KOs Bradley within 10.
