Blame Top Rank...they should blame themselves
You don't put a guy there with 13 fights against a veteran former champ who's still prime.
I mean...there is a progression in this game. He's still in the prospect stage. Contenders are fighting shopworn former champs to build themselves up
Prospects shouldn't fight still good former champs. It doesn't end well. Case in pointComment

Too many people are wined, dined, and seduced by unbeaten records. These guys should not be getting rated so fast and people need to stop drooling when an unbeaten fighter comes on the scene. He, Del dalle, and Dulorme were not and may never be ready at the top level. Some guys can be thrown in early and come out on top. Not all of them. If Jonathan Gonzales (the Middleweight) were to be a conditioning freak, he could make some serious waves. There are others like Lomenchenko who can make leaps and bounds but again, not all of them. Justin Fortuna fought some serious competition for 5 or 6 fights in a row and he has had success.Comment

100% in agreement. Segura performed so bad losing with Viloria and Sosa which lead TR matchmakers and Gonzales' team to believe that the mex fighter fighting in P. Rico would be an automatic victory for the local boxer (expecting the WBO judges to go with a home decision in case that Glez could avoid Segura punches but there was no need of judges since Giovanni showed his power).Comment
