undoubtedly Manny Pacquiao's been a great champion.....

but am I alone in not wanting to see Pacquiao fight an assortment of misfits at welterweight at this point in his career...

the likes of Provodnikov, Alvarado, Rios, Bradley and Marquez....

cos clearly Top Rank is only interested in recycling different connotations of fights between these guys....

    seems beneath him.....

I guess a Cotto II as pointless as that seems, may well be a possibility....

No, and that's what everybody is complaining about here.
    Blame TR/GBP

WTF does TR have at WW?
GBP has JWW through JMW locked

Nothing wrong with Bradley and JMM. Almost all the other welter contenders are guys blown up from 140 or below, that couldn't hold a candle to these two.

According to your answer PAC is a blown up flyweight so what's wrong with that.

I don't understand why he is still at ww,why not drop to 140 since he is not fighting ww's at all,or leave Top Rank and then he would be free to fight more fighters

Yeah I know but he's been an established welter for a while, having fought the last batch of natural welters. Look at today's top 10, mostly also rans from 140, or lower. At least Bradley was #1 and undefeated at 140

He just made career high offers to JMM and Bradley, who are the top 2 welters excluding Floyd and Pac.

I'd like to see him fight the winner of Alvarado-Provodnikov

That's about it as far as Top Rank goes. Pretty sad how pathetic their stable is, but Pac will stay with TR for the rest of his career so you work with what you got.

Thurman is the fighter I'd like to see in with Pacquiao. I've got Pacquiao to win, but it would be a good fight.

Out of curiosity, what has been, and would be, Floyd's matchups?

The only exciting names out there for Pacquiao are Floyd & Matthysse. I have a gut feeling Matthysse will want that fight...and it will happen!
