Saw canelo train personally up at big bear and let me tell you this kid is really something, he looked quick and strong even after sparring numerous rounds he still looked sharp. I was leaning towards mayweather's experience to come up with a win but after watching this kid i'm having second thoughts. If this fight is legit without any judges being pro-floyd, this kid is gonna knock mayweather's head off.

im really sad for canelo being weight drained. his team knows that he needs to work 10x harder than his catchweight king opponent. as young as canelo is i know he'll do the right thing and will come in and be professional enough to come in on contracted weight.

i wish weight drained zombie canelo the best of luck and i know he'll need a lot of it.

          fuck the **** catchweight king!

I really hope your right, but the weight draining really has me concerned. If this was straight up at 154 like it should be I would feel really good for CANELO but it has me concerned.

This was a strategic move by the mayweather team no matter what bull**** way Ellorbe tries to spin it.

I just don't wanna see a weekened Canelo on fight night!!!!!!

seriously, how can you complain about someone who has a 20 plus pound weight advantage? Let any boxer have that, e****ally Floyd and see what happens to the opponent. Its a cw for a reason and the reason is because you never hear of 20 pound weight advantages under HW Dont feel sorry for Canelo

So it's okay that a reigning JMW champion asked a fellow reigning JMW champion for a CW of 152 for a JMW title fight?

IDK man. This could be true but at the same time it sounds more like a law case to me. Like when you hear the Prosecution's case, you think they will win. Then you hear the Defense and you think they will win. Then the Prosecution goes again and you again think they will win, etc.......

Canelo's a very good fighter who will only get better. Seeing him in person I bet is something to behold and you wont be able to think anyone could beat him. Then if the next day you went to see Floyd train in person you would feel the same way about him, just like the law case

For me, yes. Its more than ok. People have to stop acting like all cw's are the same. These things should be taken individually. Its not like this is a normal case. Floyd is a 5 divison champ. Canelo is in his 1st. At LW Floyd was arguably the smallest guy in the division, at SLW it was the same thing, at WW it was the same thing, and at 154 its definitely that. Meanwhile Canelo puts on 20 pounds after the weigh-in and is in his 1st division.

At some people people have to ask themselves do they want fights or not. If you want guys like Pac & Floyd to keep moving up then sooner or later CW's will have to come into play, just like they will if Canelo goes up 5 divisions or more.

Sure Floyd has fought there but one fight was 6 years ago. He didnt fight there again for another 5 years. Why? Because he truly didnt belong there. The 2 fights he did have there are considered his worst 2 performances in the last 10 years by people on this site and neither of those guys were natural 154 pounders. Canelo is a natural MW.

That reigning term should be used loosely we are know the WBA didn't strip him because of the revunue he creates.
