Roy did it too but he had the athleticism to get away with it. Froch has the brain of a Roy/Hamed type of unorthodox fighter, with the athleticism of a caveman.

But he's tough as nails, respect.

He has been hurt by a couple of opponents but he's been in back to back with the best out there so it's bound to happen in some fights.

I'm not really sure he recovers that quickly either it's just that he goes into war mode which puts his opponents on the backfoot. You never see Froch cover up and hope for the round to end.
He got hurt by : Reid, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler x 2.

You're right that he could just be bluffing and acting like he recovered quickly while he's actually still hurt.

I was starting to feel a little strange.

It's just not a Mikkel Kessler loss until he comes out with his excuses. "The ref, my eye, my back, I overtrained, the ring was slippery, I forgot to Gold Bond my nuts and they were itching too much to focus at the end..... "

It really cracks me up how hard people will try to find examples of a durable fighter they don't like being hurt - and then they will have the nerve to say "he wasn't hurt by that knockdown - his balance was off - it was a shot behind the ear" when someone they like gets dumped on their @ss in the middle of the ring.

Good for Kessler's psyche to believe this.

Facts are that Kessler's punchoutput dropped significantly from fight I to fight II. Whether that is caused by overtraining or being over the hill is the question.

It's true,it's true he had FROCH hurt in the 11th and he needed one left hook in that position they were but he didn't throw it. If you don't close the show with FROCH when you have the possibility it's hard he'll give you another chance especially in a close fight because FROCH has that determination of greats;he is not a great boxer but he has a great personality in the ring!!!

Kesslers' reaching here. I think he's willing to fight Froch again though!

if his fitness fails him then he should put more roadwork in to lift that fitness, excuses later are no good.
All this tells us is that he consistently makes his own problems by not turning up fit enough.

Why make Excuses after training for 20 years?

Kessie has been boxing for 20 years so why make excuses now?? Just say that froch won the fight and be a man. What a sissie Kessie is. Sort EURO wimp.

Reid? Lol....reaching. I think you're overusing the word "hurt" when in all those ocassions, he was little more than momentarily buzzed. Never seen Froch probably wobble or look visibly hurt in his eyes.

Maybe because he spent the first 3 or 4 rounds eating jabs
