You know little about Boxing... Do you homework. I think Ray Robinson fought a wee bit tougher competition than Floyd Jr could ever imagine. You're an idiot.

Pryor, both sugar rays, hearns, duran, and pacman would've gave floyd trouble no doubt about it.

Ray fought everyone he could, and several of the champions several times in a row. Names like LaMotta, Basilio, Fullmer, Graziano, Gavilan, Armstrong. HOFers. Not store clerks. You cant always fight top tier when u are fighting 6,7,8,9 times a year.

And remember, they invented pound for pound for SRR.

There are plenty of boxers that retired with well over 100 wins and got no credit at all. Floyd is a once in a lifetime boxer, his skillset is unmatched in the sport imo.

Joe Brown: 116-47-13.........he in your ATG top 10?
To be more accurate Floyd would have to say, "I've beaten every fighter I had carefully placed in front of me". It's not that Floyd doesn't have good wins, but they're not the kind that can make him the GOAT - not even close. You don't seem to realize that Robinson had an undefeated record at one point and fought too long, and compared to Mayweather's usual 1 fight per year, had an ASTRONOMICAL rate of competition.

Again, not comparable. Robinson was a real fighter - not a businessman first and then a fighter. I don't mean to suggest Floyd isn't very talented, but the comparison is ridiculous. He's not even in the top 10.

(By the way, this thread's about who could BEAT Floyd anyway. And if you'd like to debate with me that Hearns wouldn't eat Floyd for lunch, give it a shot).

My man the entire Mayweather family, including Floyd Jr., himself would laugh at your ridiculous comments. No disrespect but based on your postings, on this topic, you clearly don't know anything about the career and legacy of SRR outside of the numbers. Legacies are not solely based on the number of wins and losses of a fighter's career but rather his collective body of work in his era. I'd advise that you do a bit more research outside of Boxrec because anyone truly knowledgeable on the history of the great pugilist specialist of today and yester-year will simply laugh at you and shake their head whenever you speak on topics you clearly know little to nothing about. No need to retort. This is just a message to be served as food for thought and I'll leave you with a quote... "I said I was the greatest heavyweight of all time. I never said I was the greatest fighter of all time. Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest of all time in any weight class." ~Muhammad Ali (GOAT retired with 5 losses one by KO)

I HAVE to respond to this, I had to take a handkerchief and wipe away the tears..... Robinson was 131-1 before he lost the middleweight title to Randolph Turpin when he was already a few years past his best. He KO'd Turpin in an immediate return. In that 131-1 run he beat nearly as many champions as Phony Phloyd has had fights. (I'm exaggerating just a little)

You shouldn't say such funny things. Guys could get a rupture laughing and crying at the same time...... Actually I'm surprised at you because you usually have more sense....you must have failed badly at history in school, and as for boxing history....well.... Unless you're spoofing us, which is not impossible. I don't think Phloyd Phonyblether will ever get within spitting distance..no SHOOTING distance of ALG.... Except as the ATG Artful Dodger....... (taking a liberty with Oliver Twist).

On reflection I think you are just posting that nonsense to see just how much opposition you stir up. I can't think of any other reason for a normally RATIONAL poster like yourself. And you probably have done a good job, although I didn't read beyond your rib cracking post.

unless he faces pacquiao next, he will always be remembered as the chicken floyd who ducked pacquiao many times...

                      Ray Robinson
                      Tommy Hearns
                      Mickey Walker
                      Emille Griffith
                      Barney Ross
                      Kid Gavalian
                      Jose Napoles
                      Sugar Ray Leonard
                      Vernon Forrest
                      Winky Wright

Would all beat Floyd, and at least 7 out of 10 of them would knock him unconscious.

Not to forget that I'm drawing a blank at the moment and I'm forgetting at least half a dozen other names.
