Will Canelo be Floyd's best win?

Despite Floyd having a deep resume, especially in the name department, his resume as a whole lacks that one great win that elevates his status. He's already an ATG in his own right, but in order for him to truly get into the top 50 and establish himself there he needs prime wins.

At the moment I would say his top wins are: Castillo, Corrales, Hatton and Cotto probably. In no particular order.

Canelo is, other than Floyd himself, the closest thing you can come to a certified champion at 154.

Would he be Floyd's best win and why?

Definitely not, Floyd has beaten more accomplished fighters. I like Canelo, I think he'll go on to do great things regardless of the outcome against Floyd but the fact is, Trout is the only credible opponent he's beaten.

I wouldn't say his best win but it would be a very good win for him. I also think the win would appreciate over time. However, the catch weight will undoubtedly take some luster off of it even though it probably won't affect Canelo much. The fact that Floyd is 36 and taking on a bigger, younger champion makes the win noteworthy.

Of course not. You can't be serious.

itll probably be one of those fights that will look better with age. If Canelo can truly become the star people think he's destined to be than yea. The fact that a 36 year old 148 lb floyd mayweather who just fought at 147 5 months prior beat a 170+ lb Canelo and gave him his first L will hold a great weight in the future. Not his best win tho imo. But to the casuals hell yea.

No. Time will tell how good Canelo proves to be, but as of right now, in terms of accomplishments and resume, he doesn't rank very highly in comparison to some of Floyd's previous opponents.
