Throwing with Floyd/Making Floyd lead won't work IMO because Canelo does not have the speed of foot to make it work. It would be a good strategy, but I'm personally not a fan of Canelo's plodding sluggish footwork.

He has to be planted while throwing his punches which gives Mayweather enough time to use his superior footwork and evade. It's not like Mayweather throws a bunch of punches either so he'd rarely be caught off balance or caught in an exchange in the first place. He also knows when to change his rhythm up and how to throw off speed so it is very hard to time him. Canelo's stamina also has to be taken into account of a strategy that involves pressure and countering.

The crowd is Canelo's only hope. Nobody can force Papa Smurf to fight. The only guy that could corner him might be GGG. Papa Smurf can tag and run anybody all night...and don't give a rat's ass.

How can the crowd help? Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! THAT may get in Floyd's head & force him to do something...that may prove fatal.

Floyd is waiting to catch the jab with his right hand and counter. The right uppercut is the shot in my opinion because it will force Floyd to change the position of his right hand to block, and consequently it could possibly open him up for the left hook.

Floyd is great at figuring his opponent out as the fights go on, so above all I think you need to have the ability to mix it up to keep him guessing.

Easier said than done of course! You have to be a very sharp shooter to beat Floyd as his reflexes are so quick.

You seem to have your mind made up that Canelo does not have a chance to win. The world will find out in two weeks. Yuo might think I am a Floyd hater. I don't like him but I give him credit for being a great fighter but not unbeatable. I think Canelo will win by KO or on points. He will use the speed you say he does not have to beat Mayweather combined with a good defense. He will use fast accurate combinations to the head and body. I believe his jab is also better than you say it is and he will use it to get in range to throw deadly combinations with many of the punches digging hard to the body.I don't think he will gas out. His stamina is not that bad. He threw about 700 punches in the Mosley fight. He is training very hard at 7000 feet and will be in the best shape of his life.Floyd is a great fighter and if Canelo fails to defeat him it's no disgrace but I think Canelo will win.

Canelo has outstanding boxing ability. He is well balanced and punches with precision and power. He has an excellent jab and a variety of punches. Left hook, right cross, uppercut and jab. Mayweather at this point in his career is not a combination puncher. He will move around a try to potshot, but Canelo will eventually land a telling body blow.

After Mayweather feels the shock of that brutal blow a crack will start in his defense that will make it leaky. He will be so concerned will not taking another shot like that, I can see Canelo landing something hard to the head. Shots that Mayweather is unaccustomed to. Canelo's supposed to have horrible stamina, which is strange because he hasn't lost any fights because of this.

While Floyd's fan breathlessly wait for the 7th round and Canelo to "gas", something weird will occur, Floyd will seem to be the one who is ragged and weary, and Canelo appearing fresh. Floyd's era is about to end. He will be toppled by either TKO or well-earned decision.

Work the body - Forget the head besides jabs for the half of the fight.

Jabs - The jabs will disturb his rhythm and it's one of the few punches which you can land on his face consistently.

Feints - Floyd reacts to almost every shot you throw or look to throw, a lot of times he jumps back trying to get away from punching distance. That's where you close the distance and can force him to the ropes, you can also explode forward and get your shots off when he's not in a position to counter.

              Left hook to the body
              - Floyd loves to duck shots and it's always to his right, after either a jab or feint you gotta throw that left hook to the body.

              Center mass
              - When Floyd goes into the Philly shell you throw to the chest and bread basket. When he's on the ropes you finish with that left hook to the body because he tends to lean to his right and left hook to the body will be open.

After 6 rounds you start mixing it up little by little to the head but you keep beating the drums. The key is to try to make every shot count and make contact, that's why you're avoiding throwing upstairs early because he has it down so pat you are going to miss most the shots and get tired.

Another thing is mix in some jabs right hands to his left shoulder when he's in the shell defense, after punishing that shoulder round after round it might slow his jab down or hurt his shoulder. Roy Jones stopped Derrick Harmon after 10 rounds because he started targeting the shoulder early when he saw he couldn't hit him clean.

If I was a trainer this would be the game plan I would make.

Canelo need to do damage in the first couples of round. If he can't, Floyd will take over in the second half...

How? Use his size. Back Mayweather up with a consistent jab. Unload combos, back up and cut off the ring. Adjust as Mayweather adjusts. I think Canelo has shown the ability to do all of that. If he can put it together, he will win..

What people don't seem to understand is that Trout is a huge 54 pounder, he is about 5'10 and came into the ring weighing more than Canelo. Canelo fights small fighters like Floyd different than he fights bigger guys like Trout. He will not wait and try to outbox Floyd, he will bully him like he did Lopez. Tell me this, how is Floyd going to keep Canelo off of him? The only chance he has is to use a lot of movement because if he sits in the pocket and tries to use his defense against Canelo, that won't work. Floyd doesn't hit hard enough to keep Canelo off of him in the pocket. He may land 1 or 2 shots, but thats not going to stop Canelo from landing his heavy blows.
