Curious if Elite Fighters Pay for Boxing Equipment

For example both Floyd and Canelo use Grant boxing equipment. I wonder when they order gloves, headgear, body protectors, heavy bags ets. If they pay them or they just say "Listen this is Floyd, I don't need money for endorsing your product just give me the equipment for free"

Funny, I saw a pic of Floyd hitting a Grant heavy bag yesterday and thought about this very subject. I definitely believe Mayweather gets his equipment for free. You know Grant just loves having their name in big, bold letters in the same picture with Mayweather. It's basically free advertisement. If Grant stopped providing Floyd with free stuff, May would probably switch to Reyes, Everlast, or any other manufacturer who would "do the right thing."

On a similar note, superstar athletes, despite making many millions of dollars, often get treated to free expensive dinners and other niceties that they could easily afford themselves. Somewhat ironic, since the rest of us have to pay up.

Yeah, that's what I believe as well and the equipment that they have is worth thousands of dollars.

I doubt. The Mayweathers and Canelo's are basically doing them the honor of using their equipment. The Reebok boxing boots Mayweather wears basically don't even exist

                  That's what I figured.

It must be really expensive seeing how used gloves have tons of bids and are expensive on ebay.

a top flgiht booxer would be an idiot not to have a sponsorship for his gloves, trunks, etc.

they all have deals for that stuff, and the biggest of the big would do a hell of lot more than get free stuff. they'd get paid to wear it.
