I don't know why all this commotion about this fight !! seems to me that Floyd is on his down side of his so called career, but at the same time Canelo in my opinion is a bit green to face Floyd who pretty much is a defensive fighter who moves alot. He no longer has the punch to knock anyone out, this is the first time in a long time Floyd is going to face a legit contender and is sure is going to be interesting to watch. Canelo needs to pressure and hurt Floyd early in the fight otherwise Floyd is going to be on his bicycle all night long.....The show stealer is gonna be Mathysse vs Garcia !!

I am expecting to see a replay of Donaire vs. Rigo. There would be extreme running in this fight, as in Rigo extreme. This will be a stinkfest. Floyd would be at his most defensive game since he laced on gloves. It would be a fullmode scaredy tactic. So Canelo has to score, score, and score at every opportune time. If he wants to rest he must back up and stop engaging. Floyd will follow and that will be turning the tables around.
So rack up the points kid! Remember Cotto vs. Mosley. That's your Alamo.

Canelo should just sit on the ropes and wait to counter Mayweather all night. Dont follow him around and get tired. Just sit on the ropes and make him come to you and throw counter uppercuts everytime Floyd throws that weak ass reaching jab to the body.

Canelo should study tape but Canelo and his team are making a huge mistake if they truly believe that he can execute a strategy that will require him to expend energy he doesn't have over a sustained period of time (i.e. more than a few rounds).
On September 14, Canelo needs to work with what he has and not what he wishes he has. Stamina is on the latter list.
I think his best shot is trying to catch Floyd with a fast counter to stun him, overwhelming pressure don't think will do fine, since Canelo doesn't have the workrate those fighters had. Surely he won't outbox Floyd, but if he catches him with a good punch Floyd could be in deep trouble.Last edited by batista84; 08-31-2013, 10:19 AM.
