Sitting around isn't helping him either. He can try and hope for a Crawford fight... but sitting around and doing nothing doesn't help.
Hell... he should shoot for a 130 belt.
Mendez probably out for a while and Martinez in that wrangle with Garcia.
He should go to Japan and fight one of the two champs before they fight each other on New Years

      You're right.

The clock is ticking on Gamboa's career. It's a damn shame. Yuri was so promising only a couple of years ago.

Yeah, someone got the bright idea to shop Gamboa at 135. He's just too damn small for the weight.

No doubt, I remember the first time I saw Gamboa fight I called my brother and told him that he had to check out this dude. I think we're all disappointed at where Gamboas career is at right now. It's like he didn't get any better, and as he steps it up in competition, he just doesn't look as impressive as he once did.

Gamboa was something special at his peak, wasn't he? I can't help but feel a little anger at him for screwing up his career so much. But, hey, that's life. There are worse things happening in the world.

I have to disagree, maybe you have never been to Mexico but boxing and soccer are the two major sports and are always covered in the news and on tv, so the exposure he will get will be major.

                  2) He will be following a tradition set by the other Cuban greats that made Mexico their home.

                  3) He will be training in the boxing gyms in Mexico and frankly speaking the gyms in Mexico are no joke, filled with hard men his size looking to feed their family's and will go thru anyone to do it, so he will get his hunger back, he will have no choice training around men like that.

So to me it is the perfect choice to jump start his career again.

Fortuna looked pretty bad in his last fight, although Franco is underrated but he's no Gamboa.

                    Gamboa should knock him out.

Oh goodie, two hyped up muppets that have been in fun ****ers and complete snoozefests. Probably pulling for Fortuna by a couple hairs, but I really couldn't care less. Hopefully one of them gets knocked the **** out.
