I agree that fight was extremlety anti climatic, everything about it was watered down from the crowds energy to the fights to the ending.

        Pre-Fight Hype: Hopkins-Hoya definitely the biggest hype-fest of 2004.

Post-Fight Hype: Trinidad-Mayorga. People actually decided that Trinidad had fought somebody, when in fact he had Mayorga come and stand in front of him.

Yeah, the DLH-Hopkins fight was, without a doubt, the most hype bout of 2004. Heck, it could probably take you at least five years. Thank god, as a boxing loyalist like many of ya, I didn't sank my teeth onto it.

And I kinda agree with Munn's post-fight. With Tyson-Williams maybe following in second.

Don't mean to piss you guys but in the Philippines it's gotta be the pffft Pac- JMM rematch.
Bhop-hoya could have been a hype had hoya truly beaten sturm but it was a daylight robbery so I lost interest in his fight with bhop. Watched it though and the result made the robbery more blatant.

dlh-hopkins wasnt really overhyped cause it was a matchup everyone wanted to see. not only did die hard fans want to see the fight but casual fans and first timers. i know the fight wasnt as expected but it did deserve the hype because it is rare in boxing now a days for two of the biggest boxers(in terms of fan support and skill) to get in the ring together. the most overhyped fight of the year was klitscko vs williams becasue everybody was talking about it and some thought that v klit would face a big threat in williams but the fight was lopsided and could have been stopped earlier.

                    uh

Klitschko-Williams? if it was so hyped why did hardly anyone order it

DLH-Hopkins people were talkin about it for months, it wasnt as good as i thought it would be but it was still worth it
