It's not like they didn't offer career paydays to JMM and Bradley first. Then you're down to Alvarado and Rios, tossup however Rios is more of a surefire action fight. And since it's the first big time boxing China will watch, you wanna leave a good first impression, get some Chinese hooked

What are you talking about, was I unclear? Try again: They offered fights to JMM and Bradley for career high purses. After these guys rejected, they're down to Alvarado and Rios. Similar level, but Rios a better PPV fight. Nothing too complicated.

Alvarado is a slug compared to Pac, it's not like he's gonna outbox him like Rios. He might make the fight less fun for the viewer. Either way who cares, he won a tight decision after being stopped by Rios. It's not like he's any higher level.
