This I agree with. It's more of, can Danny time Matthysse before he finds himself in trouble? The fact remains, Matthysse will go at him, will be in range for Garcia's counter punching, it's definitely a 50/50 fight.

Does Danny even possess the punching power to handle Lucas? I dunno. We've seen him KO Khan and Old Man Morales (and yes, stun Zab), but I don't know that he's the huge puncher we think he is. Could be wrong.

I for one think his power is overrated.

Records generally tell a good tale about someones power, although sometimes they lie. But in Garcia's case. He has 16 ko's in 26 fights. Not exactly stunning numbers.

His punching technique overall is pretty poor also.

One thing I keep hearing coming out of the mouth of Angel and Danny garcia is how Mathysse is "only human". It seems like they are the one's trying to convince themselves he's nothing special.

before i decided to become ferfal's stepfather, i worked the border for a few years i then met a lonely woman and saw that she had a misguided son...all he would do was sit in his room and watch lucas matthysse fights again and again. It was then i decided to bond with the kid and enjoy the fight game but...i felt he needed a little dose of reality. He needed to know...lucas was no roberto duran. This is how it all began.

Yes, i troll him...bait him, but it's for his own good. No loving stepdad allows his son to create heroes out of club-fighters. I saw the bond angel had with his son danny, and i felt ferfal was resentful of that bond. So i decided to be there for him, like angel is for danny. But i also believe in tough love. He will be taught.

We'll find out, Matthysse said Soto hit him the hardest he's ever been hit and Matthysse got touched up during the exchanges. Danny is selective in the exchanges, has the power and timing to cause Matthysse some problems. We'll see whether he can hurt him or not, I personally feel that he can.
