Is Khan vs Thurman a better tune up for Khan going to 147?

It's hard to tell with Thurman, Broner, and these other young guys. There are still different styles of fighters these young guys have yet to face. From what I've seen so far Thurmans defense is spotty. He can be hit clean. But he can punch so it's possible he can get away with it now. But once he grows out of the WW division his chin is going to get tested by some punchers.

I love it! HILARIOUS! I agree, with a mere cons bad chin, he has no hope of ever beating a world class welter

There may not be another fighter that leaves himself as fat after he throws than Keith "Frat Boy Punch" Thurman...yet he is "real." madonna mia

amir had his "tune up" at "welterweight" when he drained Diaz, after the other beast Schenchenko didnt want to go down in weight.

Have you ever watched a Victor Ortiz fight? He looks like an offensive linemen after he throws a punch.

Thurman would beat the brakes off of Ortiz.

Thurman would beat Khan by KO. Khan is obviously trying to stay away from the hard punchers. That's why he wants fights with Alexander & Bradley because their not hard hitters & he has a chance of beating them. I don't see him fighting someone like Matthysse or Thurman. He claims he would fight Matthysse, but lets see if it ever happens. And I don't really even dislike Khan, I find his fights very entertaining, but I'm just being realistic here.

You must really hate Khan. Thurman is probably one of the worst mach ups for Khan @ 147.

Thurman would break Khan in half, Thurman is not some slow power puncher, Thurman can BOX and he can move his feet very well.

Thurman knocks Khan into Retirement IMO!

Khan gets Wobbled even by guys who are not known for their Power, he was Doped by Julio Diaz and was hurt multiple times

Khan makes a crucial mistake EVERY FIGHTER, he makes that against Thurman he is not getting up

I would give him his respect though if he does step in with Thurman but I doubt that will happen

In what fight has Thurman "boxed?" Its not hard to look like you can move when Jan Zaveck is standing like a statue in front of you. I dont even mind Thurman, he is a fun action fighter but we all need to calm down on how 'real' he is. He hasnt fought anyone
