Comments Thread For: Roger Mayweather Rips De La Hoya Over Canelo Pick

Roger Mayweather, uncle and co-trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) took aim at Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya - over Oscar's recent prediction that Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) would score a knockout over Mayweather within eight rounds. Mayweather-Canelo takes place on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

De La Hoya fought Mayweather in 2007 and took the undefeated boxer to his limit. In the end, Mayweather won a close twelve round split decision. [Click Here To Read More]

De La Hoya is bitter as ****.

An interviewer asked him "Does this remind you of your fight with Pernell Whitaker?"

Oscar said "No. Whitaker liked to stand and fight. This is more like Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Mayweather Sr."

      LMAO.

The only thing Oscar got to worry about sleep in falling asleep with that G-string on.

Oscar has picked everyone over Floyd since he began promoting him. People want to see Floyd lose so he has to sell that even in the face of impossible odds and a 44-0 record. It's all hot air from Oscar.

Y'know what should happen? Floyd and Oskie should do a wager. If Mayweather loses, it's obviously one of the sport's biggest upsets and everyone at GBP gets to gloat forever over the loss of that "0". Fine.

But if Alvarez loses, after all this braggadocio of him KO'ing Mayweather in a specific round, De La Hoya should willingly strip down to his lacy undies in the middle of the ring and prance around whilst proclaiming Mayweather's greatness.

                    Do it, fishnets!
