Now that Mares decided to exercise his rematch clause against Gonzales who can Gary Russell Jr fight. Goldenboy was planning on giving him a free ride to the top, after fighting a hand full of nobodies he was going to get a shot for the title. If they feel he's ready for a title shot then maybe now that Mares is fighting Gonzales we can finally see Mr Russell step it up. I would love to see him fight Javier Fortuna.
