    May vs Canelo=Martinez vs Chavez/Pavlik

May will dictate the pace of the fight, almost never losing a round while Canelo looks for the one shot for 12 rounds. May's footwork will be problematic for Canelo. Your Opinion?

Well Canelo is a smarter fighter then Pavlik and Chavez and isnt an alcoholic as far as i know..But in the same sense he does have to set his feet in order to set up his combos and does have stamina issues.I do think Floyds movement will throw him off and frustrate him and his workrate is already low so he may not even get off 200 punches this fight

Nah, Canelo is better than Chavez and Pavlik and he also takes his craft far more seriously than those guys did. Although I believe Floyd will win, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Canelo gives him a tough fight, much tougher than the fights Chavez and Pavlik gave Martinez.

Figures you would use an Alt to make this simplistic comparison, you dolt.

Just in his last fight, 'The Kid' looked like Pernell Whitaker's out-of-wedlock child from knocking up a white Mexican woman during his stay there.

In all honesty i think this fight could end up more like Hopkins-Pavlik where the teacher takes a child to school...Canelo is a student of the game and has a bright future but this will be a hands on schooling

I'm sure having to sweat down to 152 will help those "stamina issues". Not really has any issues but if he does, moving up in weight after this fight will probably be a good idea, win or loss.

If he beats Floyd, have him come up to 160.

Now why use Hopkins-Pavlik as a reference when you've got Floyd Vs Guerrero. He dominated the B+ level Guerrero and the question here is, will he do the same to Canelo. And the obvious answer is NO.

This has 115-113, 116-112 type of decision written all over it.

If Alvarez did as well as Pavlik against Martinez, I'd be impressed. Pavlik won 4 rounds in that fight and dropped Sergio.

I used Hopkins Pavlik because this fight will be where the old dog teaches a young dog new tricks and possible mentally ruins him
