1) Jose Luis im a big fan, how long do you want to continue fighting and is the Cotto fight still going to happen later in the year if you beat Corrales again?
Jose Luis' reply: Thank you for your support. I don’t know maybe a couple of more years. They were saying June for Cotto but with the way things happened maybe September!
2) Jose. You are my favorite active fighter. After you finish off Diego I think you and Hatton is the best matchup in all of boxing. Does that fight fit into your plans and how do you foresee it going?
Jose Luis' reply: I think it will happen I think I need to take care of my business then we will see. Cotto is my 1st business though then I will see about Hatton.
3) Hello Jose, Thank you for taking our questions.
Do you think your at a point now where you'd be much stonger fighting at 140? Are you concerned that getting down to 135 will weaken you and get you off to a slow start in the ring?
Jose Luis' reply:Yeah I do sacrifice a lot to make 135 but unfortunately there wasn't a lot for me at 140 that my handlers liked but now with Cotto I like the prospect of moving up.
4) Jose,
do you want to fight Mayweather again? and if you had the opportunity, how would you change things up from the first 2 times you fought him?
Jose Luis' reply: You know as far as I am concerned me and Mayweather are 1-1 as he knows I beat him. If he ever fights me again and fights the way he fought Gatti Corley and Mitchell it would be a great fight!
5) Jose, thanks for talking with us, you are one of my favorite fighters. Can you tell me the story behind the headbands? Did JCC really start wearing them to ward off a curse?
Jose Luis' reply: Yeah you know when they 1st started using it it was for negative vibes. I actually asked permission from JCC to use it and he agreed. It all started from the Rosario fight as it was said he was using voodoo and they said that wearing a red headband would ward off the voodoo
6) What foods do you miss most when you are trying to cut weight?
Jose Luis' reply: Haha! All the foods! No greasy foods! Most though is chile rellenos!
7) What did you think about Pacquiao-Morales?
Jose Luis' reply:I think it was a good fight as long as both are at the top of the game. It was obvious that Erik didn’t have the stamina to keep going and Pacquiao did.
