    Super Six

I know there were a few issues with the format but generally I thought it was a success.
There were some good fights and subsequent knock on fights.....
Ever think anything like this will float again?
If so what weight would you like to see it happen in

I know Hershman has said he wants to do it again on HBO. Difficult to pull off.

Next time should be single elimination so it doesn't take two years like the round robin.

    HBO
160: Golovkin, Murray, Ndam, Geale, Barker, Stevens (or anyone else)

    Showtime
154: Lara, Trout, Andrade, Willie Nelson, Charlo, Baysangurov.

Dunno I liked that it meant people could loose and come back.
Boxing has become infected with the "0" factor. I felt the super six moved away from that a little....

I liked it too but unfortunately with the round robin it takes too long and guys pulled out (kessler, dirrell, Taylor ). So three of the six pulled out! So i think single elimination is the safest, quickest way.

Yeah it was to long, so it wasn't the succes it set out to be. The injuries was also most unfortunate and the replacements failed somewhat.

So a single knockout tournament would be better. However one of the things that was learned from the s6 was that homefield was paramount. That factor pretty much ensures that a singlefight elimination tournament will not involve fighters with fanbases overseas. Hence a new s6 type of tournament can only work with six fighters based in the states which kinda devalues the concept and its global appeal.

Yea, I'm in favor of a single elimination tourney of either 4 or 8... I don't care for the round robin

I agree the time span wasn't ideal, but what I liked was the round robin element maybe only with 4 or 5 to give a possible break in the schedule. Maybe scrap the replacments idea... I dunno.
The responses seem to highlight that "fans" don't care for losers.
