100% truth and its these 'values' we can see from their fans in this very forum on a 24hr basis.

As for the bold, I doubt he would've recoup. Gonzalez landed the same hook previous to the first KD. I think he was going to keep landing it on a dazed Mares, plus he had no legs, you can tell by the way he fell. Anyway, he was going to get KOd eventually. Maybe in a rematch things can be different but that hook pretty much ended the fight, I don't think Mares was going to shake that punch in the next round.
I had never heard of Johnny and I consider myself an informed boxing fan. Which is why the odds were ridiculous. That's mainly because Mares is a name and Johnny Gonzalez isn't. But I have a feeling some shark somewhere that really loves boxing came up phat last weekend. 9 to 1 odds man. You make the right bet and you can retire with those kind of odds.

I agree with part of that but it doesn't make a difference if you cant fight.

has there ever been a time when a supposed top ten p4p#5, undefeated, young and prime champ was taken out in the 1st round by a past prime/shopworn 10-1 underdog (i heard even 11-1)??

considering how demoralizing and embarrassing that defeat was he did show class in the post fight interview..i still think he is an ******* for what he did to agbeko and darchinyan..

Maybe you're more of a casual fan. Jhonny has been around on a world class level for roughly 10 years or so. Although he has decent power, the knock on him has always been that he can be a bit chinny.

Brandon Rios took his defeat with grace. Shouting warrior and where's Bob Arum saying he wasn't hurt and ready to go another 12 rounds... bahaha.

That makes you sound like some sort of boxing hipster.

just remember him getting ko'ed via body shot by the past prime/smaller gerry penalosa, quitting against israel, and getting KTFO by nishioka (same nishioka everyone ****ted on donaire for fighting) in the 3rd round......

You make it seem as if he stood no chance against the names you mentioned. He gave a PRIME Vasquez a run for his money, his defense prior to training with Nacho was shaky and so was his chin. He was beating Peñalosa fairly easy and got caught. No, that Nishioka wasn't the same one that fought Donaire because Nishioka went to mexico to get the title, for Donaire on the other hand he went to get a retirement paycheck and not to get hit that much.
